2.1 Waitlist Email Address
When you sign up for the waitlist, we collect your email address. This is used solely to notify you when the product or a specific plan becomes available. We do not use it for marketing unrelated to BookRecap without your explicit consent.
2.2 Anonymous Usage Analytics
We collect anonymised analytics data to understand how visitors use the site — including page views, referral sources, and general geographic region (country level only). This data cannot be used to identify you personally. No user-level tracking is performed.
2.3 Data We Do NOT Collect
- We do not collect names, phone numbers, or postal addresses from visitors
- We do not collect payment card information directly (handled by payment processor if applicable)
- We do not build user profiles or cross-site behavioural profiles
- We do not sell your data to third parties under any circumstances

BookRecap uses only essential technical storage. No advertising or tracking cookies are set.

No third-party advertising cookies are placed. Your waitlist email is stored in your browser's local storage until a backend is active, at which point it may be transmitted to our servers.
4. Data Processors and Third Parties
We use the following third-party services to operate BookRecap. Each acts as a data processor under our instructions and maintains appropriate data protection standards.
BookRecap is hosted on Vercel. Vercel processes server logs and network traffic as part of hosting. Data may be processed in the United States under Standard Contractual Clauses. See Vercel Privacy Policy.

6. Data Retention
Waitlist email addresses are retained until the product launches or until you request deletion. Anonymous analytics data is retained in aggregated form indefinitely as it contains no personal identifiers. If you request deletion of your email, we will process the request within 30 days.
7. International Data Transfers
BookRecap is operated from Germany. Our hosting provider, Vercel, may process data in the United States. Such transfers are subject to appropriate safeguards, including Standard Contractual Clauses as approved by the European Commission, in accordance with GDPR Chapter V.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to waitlist subscribers by email. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
